49 Graduates Received Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees From The Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah at The 130th Graduation Of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in 2023
49 graduates of the Faculty of Islamic Studies from undergraduate and postgraduate degrees of the 130th graduation of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in 2023 gathered in the hall of the Faculty of Islamic Studies for graduation, the graduation predicate of the graduates from satisfactory, very satisfying to Cumlaude with 8 Semester to 14 Semester graduates, including the best graduate with a GPA of 3.94 Zahra Rahmania, Best Thesis Writer Suci amalia, and several graduates with non-academic achievements, one of which is Ahmad Rifa'i Rahman who won the Arabic debate champion award and Rizki Faiza Firdausi who won the Tilawatul Qur'an Champion award. Behind the success of everything there is a process and mindset or mindset that accompanies it. Each graduate has his own unique way to conquer challenges, one of them is Zahra Rahmania, she is a student who is very focused on learning, every night she has time to study until nine o'clock at night, as well as when UTS and UAS she always studies, and when she falls asleep she wakes up again to study even though it doesn't enter the brain or not, she is a typical student who just flows in learning.
“Motivation must be from yourself, just do it, do everything the best first, the problem of the results later is the best and don't halfway” said Zahra Rahmania.
That's why she won the best graduate award because of her consistency in learning.
Suci Amalia, the winner of the best thesis graduate title, dedicates every day to reading and writing about her thesis. She prefers not to rush the writing process and aims to thoroughly understand the subject matter. In preparation for writing her thesis, she began by reading and summarizing books, journals, and then translating the material into Arabic. Her thesis is about the government's regulation of halal certification, which includes challenging administrative terms and the Halal Product Guarantee System from the Ministry of Religion's Halal Product Guarantee Agency. Some of her sources come from there. Additionally, she encountered unique names of Mie Gacoan’s menu items like es genderuwo, es tuyul, and es pocong, which required attention. Her dedication to her thesis led her to intern at BPJPH East Jakarta, despite the long commute of 4 hours per day using the Busway and Jaklingko.
“It's quite draining the energy here, but thank God with the internship here, I also got some references and was able to interview directly the person who took care of the Mie Gacoan halal certification, and met the person behind the scenes of the Mie Gacoan halal certification,” said Suci Amalia.
Suci's dedication paid off, as she was recognized as the best thesis writer. However, she still pondered whether the substance of her thesis truly measured up to her standards of accountability.
Another interesting graduate was Ahmad Rifa'i Rahman, who was the winner of the Arabic debate competition. The reason he chose to pursue the debate competition was because Arabic Debate can make him learn especially Arabic.
“Arabic can train my language reading, my writing and it is collected all from kalam, qiroah and kitabah in Arabic, Arabic debate also helps me make it easier to make a thesis ”
Aside from competitions, he also participated in both internal and external organizations. For him, the world of competition or organization does not interfere at all, including in making a thesis because semester 7 has focused on the thesis and has not engaged in the debate competition anymore.
The motivations they hold on to:
“Keep up the spirit, keep fighting even though you fall up and down again, don't despair, don't be down, when you fall 1000 times then get up again 1001 times” said Ahmad Rifa'i Rahman.
“I'll do the best, Allah do the rest” said Suci Amalia.
