Abdillah El Habib: FDI is Capable of Competing and Making an Impact on the International Stage
Once again, Abdillah El Habib, a student of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, has brought pride to UIN and his faculty. This achievement comes as he was selected as a G20 Liaison Officer for the Culture Ministry Meeting held in Yogyakarta, specifically in the Borobudur Temple area, from September 8-15. The Culture Ministry Meeting itself is a gathering of cultural ministers from G20 countries, such as Saudi Arabia, the United States, Indonesia, India, Argentina, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, China, Turkey, Russia, France, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, the Republic of Korea, and the European Union. This year's event was themed "Culture for a Sustainable Earth."
As a G20 Liaison Officer, this student from Padang Panjang had the opportunity to accompany the Minister of Culture and Governor of the Royal Commission of Saudi Arabia, Prince Bader bin Farhan Al Saud, throughout the event. Habib also shared his motivation for participating in this event: “My motivation to join this event was to learn and engage directly in international affairs and relations across all fields and areas. I also wanted to prove that a student studying religion at the Faculty of Islamic Studies and learning Arabic can compete, participate, and contribute on an international level by continuously developing their potential,” said the 2019 FDI student and Language Ambassador for Banten.
