Dimas Muhammad Saeful Faqih, a student and member of the Perisai Diri division of the FORSA Student Activity Unit (UKM), has been elected as the new chairperson of the Student Sports Federation for the 2022-2023 period. The election was based on deliberations conducted offline on January 12, 2022, at Villa Anugrah, Sawangan, Depok.
Out of a total of 70 votes, Dimas secured 55 votes, surpassing his opponent, who received 7 votes. Meanwhile, 13 votes were declared invalid.
The election process began with each candidate presenting their vision and mission. Candidates were then given the opportunity to answer two questions posed by the audience and senior or alumni members of FORSA. The election concluded with a voting process witnessed by candidate representatives and the presidium.
Dimas has outlined several work programs that he plans to implement during his leadership term. These programs include:
- Enhancing cadre development in achievements and organizational skills.
- Digitizing works to appreciate outstanding FORSA members.
- Elevating FORSA's presence on the international stage.
Dimas shared an encouraging message, saying, “Keep your spirit high and maintain optimism. Whatever results are given to us, they truly come from Allah SWT as the best for us. Whatever is bestowed or destined for us is indeed what is best for us.”
