On Monday, May 29, 2023, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in collaboration with Arabic Researcher ID (ARID) held an international seminar on the Sustainable Role of Higher Education in Human and Environmental Development at UIN Jakarta's diorama hall.

In this activity, several speakers attended from various countries including Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and others. Indonesia as the host is also represented by several speakers, most of whom are lecturers of the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah (FDI) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

FDI was represented by 5 lecturers. Dr. Yuli Yasin presented the theme of the role of fathers in children's education in the perspective of fiqh, Indonesian Law, and current facts. Dr. Hamka Hasan delivered an article entitled the future of tafsir studies in higher education. Dr. Aep Saepulloh explained the theme of the Urgency of contextual understanding in fiqh studies. Dr. Muhammad Khoirul Mustaghfirin delivered material on the fiqh of NU civilization in the perspective of hadith. Iffatul Umniyati, Lc., M.A. delivered the results of research on the menstrual period of UIN Jakarta students with Imam Syafii's method in analyzing the menstrual period.

All articles presented in this international seminar were delivered in Arabic and English. (Fatihunnada).
