FDI Student Becomes a Delegate of the International Youth Leader

Nirmayanti, a 6th-semester student from the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, became the delegation from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in the 38th International Youth Leader Chapter program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This program took place from March 3-12, 2022, in three cities: Jeddah, Madinah, and Mekkah. The program was organized by CV. International Youth Leader in collaboration with the local government of Saudi Arabia and received support from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia. International Youth Leader is a platform for training and education focused on exchange programs, leadership camps, halal tours, and travel.

The program aims to shape the leadership character of youth, introduce Indonesian culture in Saudi Arabia, foster love for Allah through the Qur'an and Hadith, and create entrepreneurial skills among young people. When asked about her motivation for participating in the program, Nirma responded, "I want to explore the abilities within myself, improve my academic capabilities, deepen my understanding of the Prophet's biography (sirah nabawiyah), and I also want to motivate my friends that as youth, we must make the most of our time, because time will never come back." Nirma expressed great happiness for the opportunity to visit the Holy Land, Makkah and Madinah, as well as Jeddah. "I’m very proud to have gained new knowledge, new perspectives, and of course the best experiences. I met people from Pakistan and spoke Arabic with them. I was very happy and proud when I spoke Arabic. I know my Arabic is not perfect, but they said my Arabic is good enough, which made me happy and proud," she added.

She also wanted to express her gratitude to all those who helped her participate in this program. "I would like to thank the International Youth Leader for giving me this opportunity, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Dr. Syairozi, and everyone who supported me," she said.
