Hold Work Meeting 2022, FDI UIN Jakarta Formulates Innovation and Transformation Towards Global Recognition
The Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a Work Meeting (Raker) to discuss programs for the upcoming year. The event, themed "Utilizing Innovation and Transformation of FDI UIN Jakarta Towards Global Recognition," took place over two days, from April 5–6, 2022. On the first day, the meeting, held in the FDI Meeting Room, was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Cooperation and Institutional Affairs, Prof. Dr. Lily Surraya Eka Putri, M.Env.Stud. In addition, the meeting was attended by the Dean’s staff, Educators/Faculty, Administrative Staff, and student representatives.
In her speech, Prof. Lily expressed hope that FDI could establish collaborations with various parties, including universities abroad, by leveraging FDI’s capabilities. She also hoped that FDI could carry out more innovative and effective collaborations, particularly in the fields of Islamic studies and language. "I really hope for more cooperation, especially in the guidance of Islamic studies and language," she said.
The discussions during the 2022 work meeting covered a variety of topics. One of them was the Key Performance Indicators (KPI), where the faculty set various targets to be achieved over the next year, such as journal publications, student achievement milestones, and independent learning programs. On the second day, the focus shifted to detailed programs to be implemented. For example, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Yuli Yasin, M.A., oversaw programs such as academic mentoring, accelerating the completion of undergraduate studies at FDI, call for papers, and international seminars with Al-Azhar University in Cairo. As for the soft skills workshops for students, debate training, and student activities such as the Hamasah competition, these were managed by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Dr. Moch. Syarif Hidayatullah, M.Hum.
The second day of the work meeting, held at Hotel Citra Dream in South Tangerang, was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Dr. Mohammad Syairozi Dimyathi Ilyas, M.Ed. In his speech, the Dean expressed hope for a good collaboration among all elements. "I hope for good cooperation among all of us. Hopefully, we can realize this well," he concluded.
