SAA 2021: FDI Consistently Produces Outstanding Students

The Student Achievement Award (SAA) is one of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta’s ways of appreciating its students for their accomplishments over the past year, both academically and non-academically. This year, on Monday (11/8/2021), the university opened registrations for the SAA, and the winners were announced on Thursday (12/30/2021).

“In the past, those selected for the SAA were invited to the Harun Nasution Auditorium to participate in a series of events celebrating their achievements during their time as students of UIN Jakarta. The event was impressive and lively, covered by the media, with photo sessions alongside campus leaders, and more. Unfortunately, I could only watch it on a TV screen outside the rectorate building. Back then, information about the SAA registration wasn’t fully disseminated to all students, including us new semester students. Some of my friends had already participated in prestigious competitions and events,” said Sopyan Munir, a recipient and observer of the 2021 SAA, to the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI) journalist team.

Despite the pandemic, students did not let it stop them from achieving greatness. In 2021, 19 students from the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI) managed to have their names listed alongside students from other faculties as SAA 2021 recipients. Some of their accomplishments include:

This list of accomplishments is a testament to the diverse talents of FDI students, who excel in various fields and deserve immense recognition. “I hope the SAA program encourages students to become more active in positive activities both on and off campus,” Sopyan Munir concluded.
