Jakarta, November 21, 2024 – The Dirasat Islamiyah Study Program, Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, organized a socialization and sharing session event with the theme "Developing Students' Potential through the MBKM Program". This event took place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah Hall and was attended by students of the Dirasat Islamiyah Study Program.
The event featured the keynote speaker, Dr. Ummu Salamah, S.Ag., SH., M.A., a lecturer from Universitas Nasional, who shared her experiences and insights regarding the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program as a means to maximize students' potential. The session was moderated by Dr. Aida Humaira, S.S.I., M.A., who ensured the discussion was interactive and dynamic.
In her presentation, Dr. Ummu Salamah explained that MBKM offers great opportunities for students to develop themselves, whether through student exchange programs, internships, independent projects, or other activities designed to support the mastery of students' competencies. “The MBKM Program is a bridge to build a generation ready to face global challenges without forgetting the local values and knowledge that underpin our education,” said Dr. Ummu Salamah.
The event also included an engaging Q&A session between the participants and the speaker. Students enthusiastically inquired about the technical implementation of MBKM, such as program registration mechanisms, credit recognition, and strategies for selecting programs that align with their interests and talents.
The Head of the Dirasat Islamiyah Study Program expressed hope that this event would provide students with a deeper understanding of the benefits and opportunities offered by MBKM. “Through this event, we aim to ensure students have clear information and can utilize it to enhance both their academic and non-academic competencies,” he said.
The event concluded with motivational messages from the speaker and moderator, encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones, explore their potential, and make the most of the various programs offered under the MBKM framework.
