Top Scorer Achievement, Rafi: "Focus and Time Management are the Key"
On November 6, 2021, the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Football Team participated again in the prestigious Warbak Open Cup 2021 U-21 football competition, held at the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta field, located behind the Triguna School. The competition was joined by 8 teams, each consisting of 15 players, one of whom was Mohamad Rafi Lintang Ghozali, a 5th-semester student of the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Rafi's team was selected from the UKM FORSA (Federation of Student Sports) Football Division at UIN Jakarta, and they competed under the name of the campus.
Rafi, who is also the head of the UKM FORSA Football Division, shared his experience during the competition. "Before reaching the final, the UIN Jakarta team had to pass through 4 intense matches, each lasting 30 minutes, and won the final through a penalty shootout (3-1)." Rafi, who is proud and happy about the victory, expressed that the efforts of his teammates from the start of the competition until reaching the final were all worth it with the achievement of first place. This momentum is seen as a great start for the UIN Jakarta Football Team before facing other prestigious competitions in the future.
In addition to bringing the name of UIN Jakarta to win the first place, Rafi also received an individual award as the top scorer of the competition. "This is my first individual award in a competition representing the campus, and I didn't expect to win the Top Scorer award because many of my teammates had scored goals that I thought were higher than mine. However, it turned out that I scored the most goals in this competition," said Rafi.
At the end of the interview, Rafi added, "Despite the heavy academic workload, it shouldn't prevent a student from achieving outside the classroom. All activities should be done with focus, and the key is time management."
